Vacation News Update!

I’m a surfer! :D Board surfer that is! :D It was a lot of fun. The trick is don’t really try standing up on the board unless you are catching a wave at the same time. It is very hard to stand up on the board unless you are in a relatively fast forward motion, at least for a beginner.

We’ve had a few beach days. Got to spend time on the beach. Quality family time is really nice too. Being able to be around the family without all the bustle of running in and out to go somewhere.

We went on the pier tonight. It is rather scary in a way. It is swerved side to side and up and down. Feels like a roller coaster.

Tomorrow we are going to Ocracoke. Taking the Ferry across is quite fun! :D

Just in case I haven’t written already, we went to Kitty Hawk, which was a blast! Haven’t been there in a long time! Got to see where our ancestors first flew! :D Did you know the first flight on December 17th 1903 lasted only 12 seconds and went a distance of only 120’?
It seems someone deleted the picture sequence I took of the inscription on the Wright Brother Memorial so may it suffice that I quote it. “In commemoration of the conquest of the air by the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright conceived by genius achieved by dauntless resolution and unconquerable faith.”
Pretty cool eh? :D Oh and the Memorial is triangular in shape.

After we went to the monument we went and looked at where the first flights were taken from and had a tourist guide explain about the history of how the Wright brothers built the airplane.

Day Three and… That is all to the Title. :)

Day three has come and gone; Not gone so that I can’t remember. Gone that it has gone by and I cannot relive it ever more.

We all got up and yet again went to Frisco Beach. :) It was really nice and sunny, we did not like the last two times get rained out as you may have noted from my previous posts.
So we relaxed on the beach most of the day and and then came back to the cottage and relaxed there while father and mother went out for supper. I went into the hot tub with the younger kids for a bit then had an ice cream float.

While at the beach I decided I’d take my own pictures for the blog so below is what I came up with, plus a video and underwater shots and beach shots from ocean perspective! :) I didn’t want to post a lot just to keep it small, so please enjoy! :)

First day on the Beach; Bonus Second Day!

The First day on the beach: We went to Frisco Beach, which is past Avon and Buxton and coincidentally situated right near the town of Frisco! That is probably why they called it Frisco Beach. It was nice to see the ocean again. I didn’t go fully in because I was still suffering from a leg cramp that I suffered whilst we were driving to Hatteras. We left early cause it started raining. So we went home and relaxed again.

Bonus Second Day:
don’t you feel lucky that I’m writing about the second day?? :)
We went to Frisco again, and yet again, it is right near the town of Frisco. We stayed there from about 10:30 till about 2 and then we went over to the other side of the Diamond Shoals in Avon. We didn’t swim there because the Labrador current is much colder than the other side of the shoals (Gulf Stream). The waves are much bigger, we had a lot of fun there. took lots of pictures that I will add at the end of the blog post before I publish.

Barn Dance + There and…

Hello Readers!

A Quick catch up starting from yesterday…

I went to my 3rd barn dance. As always it was a lot of fun, and rather tiring. haha. I was told quite a few times that I’m a crazy dancer. I’m feeling the effects of being a crazy dancer right now, as my legs are very sore.

the people that came with us to the dance are:

We started the barn dance up scrambling all the partners up, thankfully I ended up with Zoe. phew haha. :)
About halfway through I started dancing with Olivia. I’m really glad that I had two really good partners for the dance. :)

It took a lot of energy, we got home around 1AM and I got to sleep at 3AM and got up to leave around 3:50AM, we left at about 4AM

It was an uneventful trip, I slept for most of the way. I tried to stay awake and read Cornelia Funkes book “inkspell” But failed at that task by falling asleep, mind you I wasn’t sleep reading this time. We made our first stop in Pennsylvania, I have no idea where. Our second stop was in Fredericksburg Virginia. Then our third and the best stop for me was in Newport News Virginia!! Which was about 2 hours south of our previous stop. There I typed up the BestBuy and they had 16GB Zune HDs' available for purchase!! All the surrounding ones were sold out, so I took it!! :D I think it might have been the last one too!! :D So you can imagine how happy I am to have that! I synced a lot of music to it already! I have over 2000 songs on it and 9 apps(I think) and I have almost 6GB free! :D
