Adventures of the OBX 2010 Day -26

These are the catalogs and stories of the journey and adventures of the Hounsome family in the Village of Avon, North Carolina in the United States of America. Where we will be faced with trials that will test our patience, wit and reaction.
We are again going to be headed off on vacation in the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina in the village of Avon, Cape Hatteras.
Statistics:
Cottage Name: Avon Calling
Vehicles taking: 15 passenger van and possibly white mini-van.
Family members coming: Philip (aka dad), Cynthia (aka mom), Shayne (hopefully), Zachary, Gabriel (That is I), Zoe, Jonathan, Nekoda, Benjamin, Sebastian, Bronwyn, Nina, Adam, PJ. Making a grand total of 14 people.
Date leaving: September 12th
Significance of date we are leaving: Day after 9/11 2001; 9th year anniversary of attack on the World Trade Center.
Date returning: September 26th
Significance of return trip: None that I can think of. :P
Any overnight stops: None whatsoever.
Predicted weather temperature: low to high 20’s mostly in the highs. :) Plus whatever the humidity index is.
Predicting lots of sand blowing around on days of high wind.
Am predicting to come home more tanned than I am at the moment.

Length of trip: depending on the route we decide to take, about 15 hours.
Passing the time on trip down: Reading and watching movies.
Days till departure as of today August 16th 2010: 26 days (3 weeks 5 days)
