Our trip to the OBX

Well I will begin at the beginning, as that is usually where the beginning starts.

I packed my stuff(some of it) in the moonlight at 2AM.

I mainly read the entire way, I had bought a book the day before(I was the first in the store to buy that book and it came out that day) The book is Called Brisingr, it is really good, I only have about 40 pages left which I’m excited to finish. Unfortunately though Zoe can use the camera, but I will explain that later on…

We stopped along the highway I’m guessing at Kings Ontario, so I asked dad for a Large Regular(My last Tim’s for 2 weeks time) That really helped me though. :)

We had a good start to our trip down, made really good time around 11AM 12PM we got about half way.102_7181
Our first stop(In the US)

Now I mentioned my sister with the camera. She caught me sleep-reading, it is a very difficult skill to master, I haven’t quite got the grasp of it, usually when I wake up I’m right at the part I was when I fell asleep, my guess is, it isn’t very fast. So she took some pictures of this unfortunate time for me to be practicing, as well as a movie.

Now I could be persuaded to post the video on YouTube, but I would need lots of comments saying so.

Here are a few pictures of what we did during the trip:

This is a view of us going through a tunnel under the ocean. I did fall asleep and wake up about 3 or 4 times in the duration we were in this tunnel.)

About 2 hours from the cottage mom started not feeling very well, so we stopped a few times to let her have a break, she started getting shaky and dizzy, so we tried to find a clinic and ended up at a fire station near Cape Hatteras, and the paramedics there realized her blood sugar was too low, normal is 80 to 100 and hers was 60, so she gets to eat lots of chocolate. :D We all took turns praying for our dear mother in the vehicle and the Lord healed her, that was a really good blessing. :) Our God is an awesome God! He reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power and love! She still isn’t 100% up to speed so please be praying for her. :)

When we got to the cottage we unloaded(obviously) it was very tiring, there is about 4 or 5 sets of stairs to get to the top floor, more floors than I thought there would be that is for sure. it was quite humid yesterday night as well.

Our cottage is actually situated right behind the cottage we had last year, and I recognize the path beside our cottage this year that we would traverse to and from town, last year. So we have walked by this cottage before. :)

After we were finished unpacking, and I had my laptop set up, we got together as a family and opened the bible to 1st John 1:1
We didn't study more than one verse as people were falling asleep and it is easier to study a little bit of Gods holy word at a time.

Now this is the first day we are here, Monday it is rainy outside, but warm nonetheless, we have the air conditioning on. I finished the book Brisingr and now I really can’t wait for the next one to come out, but as you may well know, I obviously do have to wait. :)

I can’t wait to go to the ocean! It is really fun swimming in the ocean.

We may not do that today as the weather isn’t the greatest. But it is still really nice to be here.

I agree! Since you're gone for over two weeks, post the video! (Do I have to comment ten times in a row for you to do it?) And take more pics of outside in Hatteras! I'd love to see your cottage. :D God bless! And I'm praying for your mum!

Grr. It doesn't let me put my name, I guess . . . it just keeps coming up as "nothing". Haha!

I believe I'm the third giraffe? Or was it gorilla? Personally, I think giraffe sounds better . . .

Looking forward to your next post, Beebo! :)
