Hello,
I have been programming for 4 – 5 years now 2 of those years have been web programming, creating Web based applications using the same languages I use for creating Custom Windows Applications.
I have a newsletter I will be launching by the middle of next month, you can subscribe to it by going to www.beeboent.com
I help my dad out with his business of resurfacing countertops; we just got back from a job in Kitchener Ontario. The website for the business is www.ecocountertops.ca you may also go to the website I created for the business www.sprayoncountertops.com the front end which you see is merely information, but the back-end is the part that was my favourite part as it is a dealer login, where the dealers can update information and place product orders, quite powerful, I am very happy with it.
A few other websites I have done is www.4seasonherbs.com a place where you can go and order home grown herbs online using PayPal or MasterCard, I used an ecommerce template for the ordering and processing of funds. www.Sugar-N-Spices.com this website is a place where you can go and place orders for large or small quantities of quality food at prices that simply cannot be beat.
I like to make sure all my websites are standard and compliant with the major browsers. The tools I use to do that is http://validator.w3.org/, http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ and www.sitening.com
A new technology I am going to start using more is called Silverlight, using XAML (Extensible Application Mark-up Language). I did use Silverlight a bit on www.Sugar-N-Spices.com but because Silverlight wasn’t widely known quite yet, I took it off. From what I have seen from Silverlight it is very easy to use the code is stored in a XAML file which you can open in a notepad, opposed to a .swf file, where you need a special program to open it with.
We are headed for Cape Hatteras.
Leaving at 2AM on Sunday, it is a 17 hour drive so we will hopefully get there around 10PM, and we are staying for 2 weeks, I will updated my blog with pictures of the ocean and what not.
But until then;
God Bless!
