Well The last few days have been very crazy, the wind has been really intense, the surf looked like a huge leviathan in death throes that is how rough the water was that would be two days ago. Yesterday the water was a little bit less rough but the rip currents were still too strong to go swimming.
In case you don’t know what a rip current is here is a little summary:
A rip current is a strong, narrow current of surface water that flows seaward through the surf into deeper water. Waves approaching the shoreline create a water buildup which results in a return flow. This return flow (rip current) transports the excess water into deeper waters. Never swim against a rip current, people die all the time from exhaustion from trying to swim against it. The best way to get out of a rip current is to swim sideways to is and once you are out of the pull start swimming towards shore.
From my window now I an look out and see the ocean, it looks really beautiful out right now, next to no wind and the sun is out!
2 nights ago the wind was really strong, I was trying to go to sleep and I could feel the cottage swaying to the wind, and when a big gust of wind came it felt like the floor would ripple. Thankfully these cottages are built to withstand much more wind speed than that.
So when I’m stuck in the cottage I’ve been learning a new technology called Silverlight. I will do a different post for that when I have completed the project I’m working on with code samples! :D
Altoids, They are really good, I bought some chocolate coated ones, and they are like a mint, there are different kinds but I hadn’t had the chocolate coated ones yet.
Heaths, My goodness they are really amazing, they are sort of like a Skor bar except… they have roasted almonds in the an have the finest quality of English toffee in them. If you ever come down to the states you have to look for them.
There was a huge sale at a store the other day, so I bought a swimsuit, Sandals and a hat. And the cashier gave me about $12USD off the sale because I was apparently the nicest customer all day. It pays off to be nice, eh?
So it was a fantastic day at the beach today!! I was in the ocean for about half the time, about 2 hour probably, really tired now, Zack and I tried to get past the second row of breakers to go to the sandbar but it was really tough, every time you gained 10 feet a wave would come and push you back that much. I was swimming on top of a wave at the first breakers and as I was swimming on top of the wave I looked down and saw one of my siblings running in front of the wave. It is utterly amazing. we were all in the ocean at one point and a huge wave had just gone by it washed up onto the shore and there is lots of water so it started dragging back to the ocean and you could barely walk towards the shore and another huge wave came, those situations are fun if you know how to handle them, thankfully we do. We had lots of fun at the ocean today and the sun was really warm, I’m getting a nice tan. :)
So here are some pictures of storm cottage and more…

The Top area is where Zack and I stay, there is 5 flights of stairs to get there from the bottom of the house. I took this from the third level.
The next week is supposed to be very nice so I’m not sure how much time I will have to write on this blog but I will try to keep you guys updated as much as possible, there were a lot more pictures I
could have posted but I’ll save them for later, but by that time we will probably have lots more than that.
This is who we are and how we live.
